FANTASTIC POTENTIAL, REALIZED.
A 1972 home, purchased from the son of the original owners, was packed to the brim with “stuff,” to put it nicely, when the clients first saw it. Seeing past the piles of paper, furniture and boxes, we saw fantastic potential. The owners wanted to create a modest home on the original foundation. They wanted a place to raise two young boys that felt like a family home, where Legos and Matchbox cars were welcome in any room.
By opening up the entire space to the backyard, using interesting materials and textures and furniture pieces that can take the force of the boys, we created a space that is open and inviting with a touch of fun for this active family of four.
